A very large 17th/18th Burmese Buddha statue. This fantastic Buddha is in the bhumisparsha mudra pose. It has some small age-related losses and some cracking to the wood but this just adds to the character and beauty. There is still strong traces of the original gold gilt and small hints of polychrome decorations. A very special piece of sculpture.
