This is a vintage Art Deco style Birdseye maple and ebony breakfront Wellington secretaire of the highest quality. The 6 drawer Wellington chest secretaire is veneered with beautiful birdseye maple and ebonised inlay around all the edges. The drawers are framed with thin ebony mouldings and have lovely ebonised turned handles. The drawers are expertly constructed with hand-cut dovetails from solid oak. The drawer bottoms are oak lined. The second and third drawers down are a hinged double-dummy front, revealing a further four beautiful birdseye maple interior little drawers (also dovetailed) and four ebonised pigeon holes. There are four ebonised fleur-de-lys mouldings to the top and bottom of the uprights. All on a plinth base. All locks work as it should and come with two keys.
