A fantastic, rare set of five late 19th-century Japanese napkin rings of excellent quality. The napkin rings are masterfully decorated with fine, delightful floral foliage and birds. The napkin rings are counter enamelled on the inside with a deep sky blue enamel (later examples is solid brass on the inside and not enamelled). One has a little chip but it does not distract from the quality and beauty of the napkin ring (see photo).
